In Theaters:
- Australia - Nicole Kidman and Wolverine are Australian cattle ranchers during WWII. I like Baz Luhrmann, but I’m a little skeptical about this one. Let’s hope it’s nothing like the previews and everything like a guy who goes by Baz.
- Four Christmases - Reese Witherspoon and Vince Vaughn get caught in a lie and are sentenced to Christmas with each of their families. The shenanigans are strong with this one.
- Transporter 3 - Jason Statham makes another movie chock full of fast cars and ridiculous fight sequences. You know I’m on board.
On Video:
- Hancock - Will Smith is a super hero with a drinking problem. I’ll be watching it, but I doubt Megan will. How’s that for a recommendation?
- Fred Claus - Vince Vaughn is Paul Giamatti’s brother. Did I mention Paul Giamatti is Santa Claus? You guessed it, shenanigans.
- Space Chimps - Animated space shenanigans.
- Meet Dave - Eddie Murphy in a whole bunch of shenanigan suits.

In Theaters:
- Bolt - A famous cartoon super dog thinks his powers are real. I can’t believe this movie is real. What do I care, take your kids.
- Twilight - Pretty tween Vampires that believe in abstinence, a tale only a sheltered Mormon housewife could write.
On Video:
- Wall-E - Pixar’s latest about a lonely robot. How can you resist those cute little robot eyes?
- Tropic Thunder - Ben Stiller, Jack Black, and Robert Downey Jr. (in black face) make a ridiculous movie about making a ridiculous action movie that suddenly turns real. Sign me up.
- The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 - Yup, they made a sequel … Whether I like it or not, this one’s probably going to end up in my queue. Maybe someday we’ll be able to afford 2 movies at a time and I can have my own queue.

Not much in the way of movies this week. I suggest watching Dexter on Netflix’s Watch it Now.
In Theaters:
- Quantum of Solace - This is either the latest Bond flick or a new album by your favorite group of angsty teenagers.
On Video:
- Hellboy II: The Golden Army - Ron Perlman paints himself red and saws off his horns for another movie. It’s in my queue, but I’m an incredible geek.
- Star Wars: The Clone Wars - George Lucas continues to milk his cash cow. Or is he beating it? I can’t really tell anymore.
- Beer for my Horses - Watching this movie has been proven to cause birth defects, the dead to rise from their graves, and the Apocalypse.

In Theaters:
- High School Musical 3: Senior Year - Will somebody PLEASE think of the children?!!!
- Pride and Glory - Ed Norton and Colin Farrell in a cop thriller. I like Ed Norton, but I’m skeptical of this one.
- Saw V - Just in time for Halloween, gratuitous violence.
- Changeling - Angelina Jolie’s kid goes missing, the cops find him, but she says it’s not him. Clint Eastwood’s one of my favorite directors and he uses my favorite living Cinematographer, Tom Stern, so you know I’m gonna watch this one.
- Synechdoche, New York - The directing debut of my favorite screenwriter, Charlie Kaufman, starring one of my favorite actors, Philip Seymour Hoffman. I may hitchhike to New York just to stand in line for this one.
On Video:
- The Incredible Hulk - Ed Norton plays the Hulk this time as Marvel tries to make up for the last Hulk movie. This is a remake, not a sequel, and it’s supposed to be better than the last. I kind of liked the Ang Lee Hulk though, so you know I’m going to watch this one.
- The Strangers - Liv Tyler lives in a haunted house. Good for her.

In Theaters:
- Max Payne - Marky Mark in a cool video game adaptation. If this is as fun to watch as the video game was, I’m in. Seriously, I never played the game, but watched two different friends play it all the way through. I’m pathetic.
- Sex Drive - A mousy teen meets a girl on the internet and his horny, geeky friend convinces him to steal his brother’s GTO to meet her. See every other teen buddy comedy for more examples.
- W - Oliver Stone’s take on the life of the President. I’m sure it will be completely unbiased and completely relevant to the coming election.
- Secret Life of Bees (Limited) - Dakota Fanning flees her home to go live with a bunch of beekeeping sisters (Queen Latifah, Alicia Keys, Sophie Okonedo, Jennifer Hudson). Based on a book MegRuth liked.
- What Just Happened (Limited) - Robert DeNiro, Bruce Willis, Sean Penn, and more star in a movie based on a tell-all memoir by Hollywood producer Art Linson. Bruce Willis plays himself, all the other names are changed to protect the inn… er… celebrities.
On Video:
- Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull - You may have heard of this one. Whatever you may have heard, it was entertaining enough for me. I like all the originals a lot more and I probably won’t bother buying this one, but it was entertaining.
- Mongol - Genghis Khan biopic. I honestly can’t remember what I read about this movie.
- War, Inc - John Cusack plays a Hitman. That’s all I need to hear. It’s in the queue.
