You may have noticed a few changes to the website. I grabbed a new Wordpress theme (Wordpress is the blogging software my website uses) and Megan made me a snazzy new header. I think it’s pretty sweet, but then again, so is she, so I shouldn’t be that surprised. Check her out, she changed her layout too. It’s pretty snazzy.
I’m still working on a few things for the site, like that little menu button in the top right corner. I want to change that little graphic, but haven’t found anything I like yet. Any ideas? I’ve got a few ideas for blog posts working up in the old noggin, and I’ll try to get those up soon, but the main reason for this post is to try out the new comments area. I decided to enable comments finally, mainly because of the cool little comment guy that comes up, so hopefully this works. I’ll keep it up as long as battling spammers doesn’t get too difficult.

You may or may not have noticed a little downtime recently. I was in the process of getting rid of my hosting through GoDaddy after the generous donation of server space from my brother, Jesse who is now hosting this website (check out his website, Stay N’ Alive, he has some interesting things to say from time to time, although I must warn you he is a programmer, so he occasionally posts about programming things he’s working on, which may or may not bore you to your utter demise). He also updated the version of WordPress I’m running, hence the new design, and put a lot of time in helping me troubleshoot little problems here and there.
I also finally added those slides I have been trying to scan in for years now (Jesse also let me use his fancy-shmancy scanner), which you will find on the Photography page. On the Videos+ page, you also may have noticed the addition of 2 newish shorts I did, one of which is just a recut of my Film school entrance application video, the other is just a stupid little internet short I did with my friends, Steve and Shawn after developing an idea for an internet series called “The Adventurers.” This was supposed to be the first in a long line of internet shorts for that series, but we’ll see how that goes since I moved to New York. I’ll have to find some new actors or something. I also added video of the little mishap we had driving through Wyoming on our way from Las Vegas to New York. Full story and pictures here. Good times. Anyway, enjoy, or don’t, I don’t really care.

Man, I’m a tool. Not only did I go out and buy my own domain name, but I have now resorted to rambling about nothing to no one on the internet for all to see. This thing started out as a way to get my parents off my back about things I was working on at school, but I’m not sure I ever told them about it and now I’m all graduated. I don’t want this to turn into a “blog,” but I do want to do something with it seeing as how I’m paying for it. Although, I guess by writing this little diddy I have officially turned it into a blog. I apologize to all my nonexistant readers. I will do better in the future.
Not that it matters, but I decided to go with Wordpress blogging software just because it’s what I’m familiar with and it had a simple theme I liked. You can check out the Photography and Papers pages, but I still haven’t found a photo gallery plugin that works well with this simple theme. I tried Lazy Gallery, which worked well, but I couldn’t figure out how to get the images in a table format and went with some other one for now. Supposedly, my brother is working on his own blogging software called “jeens” that will integrate an album into the site, but I’m not sure I want him to know I’ve joined him in the world of geekdom yet, so I haven’t asked him about it. If any of my geek friends or family that stumble upon this lame site have any tips, let me know. This whole talking to no one on a public website thing is starting to freak me out.
